After the first successful implementation of a Manufacturing Execution System (MES) to manage the raw material weighing & dispensing and finished goods check-weighing at Kalbe Farma, then the largest Indonesian pharmaceutical group has now completed the roll out of the same system at its subsidiary.
Factorytalk Co., Ltd together with their software partner Werum IT Solutions AG completed the project in less than 6 months using their globally experienced local ASEAN resources for the entire implementation involving technical engineers, business process and industry consultants and project management. The PAS-X solution went live in January 2015 and the proven benefits and further example of a MES implementation within the Kalbe group has lead the management to consider further expanding the use of the system to a full Electronic Batch Record (EBR). The EBR module will enable the end-to-end manufacturing process to be entirely paperless and provide key advantages for right first time operations, ensure the accuracy of tracking work in progress, and enforce a review by exception approach that is relied on by the majority of Werum’s PAS-X international customers.

The Werum PAS-X system ensures the accurate weighing of the Bill Of Materials and is integrated automatically to the Oracle ERP for material data, production orders, bill of materials and consumption updates and stock creation.
