Factorytalk joined the exciting event, “ISPE Singapore’s Affiliate Conference & Exhibition,” held on 23 August 2023. This year’s theme, “Shaping the Future of Pharmaceutical Manufacturing: Trends, Technologies and Beyond,” brought together industry leaders, experts, and innovators to discuss the latest advancements in the pharmaceutical manufacturing landscape.
David Holt, Managing Director – Factorytalk together with Bob Buhlmann, Global Head of Digital Quality & Computer Strategy – AstraZeneca presented on 2 sessions:
- Panel discussion: How does GAMP5 Revision Impact the Industry?
- Presentation session: Has Paper Finally Met Its Match? No-Code Apps & Citizen Development for GMP, which focuses on transforming the way pharmaceutical manufacturing operates and exploring the innovative concept of no-code applications and citizen development.
The key highlights of the presentation session include:
- No-code/Citizen Development harnesses a company’s knowledge and resources to digitize, which is powerful.
- For GxP this is especially useful with simpler use cases, requiring less complex applications.
- For GxP, addressing validation at an early stage is important. Consider change management to support adopting new working methods.
- New uses and iterative development are ongoing, and at the crux of the benefit. So, design a suitable process around that to avoid restricting it as much as possible.
- Consider citizen validation enablement as well as citizen developers. Plan training, resources, and support, aligned with the quality organisation.
- No-code Apps are well suited to a highly risk-based validation model managed entirely digitally – avoiding creating lots of documents for a tool that’s meant to remove paper!
Thank you for joining the sessions on this journey of discovery and transformation. Stay tuned for more updates, insights, and breakthroughs from Factorytalk as we continue to push the boundaries of what’s possible in pharmaceutical manufacturing
