Software QA Engineer – Digital Manufacturing (GxP / CSV)

Factorytalk is looking for QA engineers to support the delivery of digital manufacturing solutions for leading pharmaceutical and life sciences companies.

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys testing complex systems, ensuring quality and compliance, and working closely with engineering and business teams.

The Role

As a Software QA Engineer, you will be responsible for testing and validating digital manufacturing applications built on the Tulip no-code platform.

You will ensure solutions are robust, reliable, and compliant with regulatory standards (GxP), supporting both pre-release testing and formal validation activities.

This role combines software testing, quality assurance, and exposure to validation practices in a modern Industry 4.0 environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and execute test cases for digital applications(functional, workflow, and integration testing)
• Perform manual testing, defect identification, and issue tracking
• Collaborate with solution engineers to understand system behavior and edge cases
• Support computer systemvalidation activities (CSV) including documentation and traceability
• Ensure applications meet quality standards and regulatory requirements (GxP / GMP)
• Analyze defects, support root cause investigation, and verify fixes
• Contribute to test planning, test strategy, and continuous improvement of QA practices
• Support user acceptance testing (UAT) and production readiness

Candidate Profile

Essential
• 1–5 years’ experience in software QA, testing, or quality engineering
• Experience in manual testing, test case design, and defect tracking
• Strong understanding of software testing principles and QA processes
• Strong analytical thinking and attention to detail
• Ability to work with cross-functional teams (engineering, business, customers)
• Good communication skills
• Fluent in English

Desirable
• Experience in regulated environments (pharma, biotech, medical devices)
• Familiarity with GxP, GMP, or Computer System Validation (CSV)
• Exposure to manufacturing systems (MES, LIMS, ERP, etc.)
• Experience with tools such as Jira, TestRail, or similar
• Understanding of APIs, integrations, or data flows
• Interest in digital manufacturing / Industry 4.0 solutions
